MoU signed between IIIT and RU

The International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) Virginia, USA and its regional Branches, Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT) authorities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the administration of University of Rajshahi (RU). Under this MoU, IIIT and RU will cooperate in the areas of joint academic research, exchange of teachers and researchers, training of teachers, publications, curriculum development, seminar-symposium and conference programs based on equality and mutual benefit.

The MoU was signed by Professor Dr. Saleh Hasan Naqib, Vice-Chancellor of RU and Dr. M. Abdul Aziz, country representative of IIIT and Director General of Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT). They signed and exchanged the memorandum on behalf of their respective institutions in the conference room of Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Administration Building.

During the signing of the MoU, among others, Professor Mohammad Main Uddin, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration); Professor Dr. Md. Farid Uddin Khan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education); Professor Md. Matiar Rahman, Treasurer; Professor Mohammad Belal Hossain, Director of the Faculty of Arts; Professor Iftikharul Alam Masud, Acting Registrar; Professor Md. Akhtar Hossain Majumder, Administrator of the Public Relations Department; Professor Mohammad Sajjadur Rahim, Director of the Office of International Affairs and others were present.

Dr. Abdul Aziz emphasized the importance of this partnership and said, This MoU with two institutions is to explore the potential for joint research collaboration between the two institutions. It’s aimed at enhancing, enriching, and broadening the academic and educational works and projects carried out by both organizations. This MoU signifies our commitment to providing quality education while fulfilling our social responsibility to extend research knowledge to the wider community, which plays a vital role in the development of the educational sector in Bangladesh.
